Since I live out in the country, I don't have many tall, glorious buildings to offer you from around the world. There are local visits to the Buffalo Botannical Gardens and scenes from the Thousand Islands in upstate NY. Otherwise, photos are from my summer camp for kids...and that's fun to share.

Periodically I venture into the woods with my camera, tripod, and bug spray. I prepare for those belly shots of wildflowers, insects, leaves, moss, whatever I can fine. I enjoy the earthy smells and before you know it, I've not only captured great photos, I've nurtured myself and found new enthusiasm for the tasks ahead.

For years I've wanted to draw. I can't draw. I can take photographs, and I can now turn those photographs into paintings that turn your head. What is truly amazing is being able to take a reject photo and turn it into art. It's fun too! Thank you, BetterPhoto.

In my BetterPhoto classes I've enjoyed becoming a more creative, innovative photographer. Instructors have given me tools that will last a lifetime. I can insert a moon or fireworks into a night sky, add reflections to an uninteresting photo, do patterns and even explore the world of bubbles.

Because I run a summer camp for kids, there are endless opportunities for me to take photographs that capture a memorable moment in time. Our life here is full of animals. They make a difference in how we view the world because we can just be with them and they accept us for who we are.

So often mirrors reveal unique and beautiful patterns. In a recent Betterphoto Class, I learned new techniques and tools for reflecting a subject. You would never guess such awesome results come from one photo. These are a fun start to what I hope will eventually be an even wider variety.

Life is all about relationships. It's about connecting with each other and celebrating the love we feel in together moments. If I can capture those connections, I am thrilled. Photography is so often an accident and the result is a treasure.

We see the change of seasons in New York State. Each is unique unto itself, giving the photographer glorious moments of color and weather. Living at Sprucelands Horseback Riding Camp the way I do, seasonal photography spices up the everyday. I take my camera with me everywhere. Life is beautiful
